Introduction

The process to find 2007's inductees into the IP Hall of Fame began in April with the appointment of the IP Hall of Fame Academy. This comprises all living inductees from 2006 and a number of other individuals recognised for their expertise and experience in international IP issues.

Having assembled the Academy, Intellectual Asset Management magazine then invited members of the global IP community to submit nominations for induction. Over 300 nominations were received in the period from April to June. These were then collated and a shortlist of around 100 names was sent to Academy members, who then submitted their votes. The voting process ended on 1st September.
