Nomination process

Inductions are made into the IP Hall of Fame on an annual basis. Inductees are chosen by members of the IP Hall of Fame Academy, which comprises individuals already inducted into the IP Hall of Fame and other acknowledged IP leaders. The Academy makes its selection based on the nominations it receives from the global IP community and chooses those nominees considered to have made an outstanding contribution to the development of today's IP system. From 2009, a maximum of five nominees will be inducted in any one year.

A gala dinner to honour the IP Hall of Fame inductees for 2010 will be held at the IP Business Congress in Munich, Germany in June 2010.
