Eeva Hakoranta

One of the world’s most accomplished patent licensing dealmakers.

She made her mark on the patent market while occupying various senior licensing roles at Nokia, including SVP – Head of IP and Global Head of Patent Licensing. Hakoranta doubled patent revenue at InterDigital during her five-year tenure, striking notable deals with Apple (worth $134 million per year), Amazon, Xiaomi, LG, Google, Panasonic and OPPO, as well as an agreement to resolve a dispute with Samsung by arbitration. This followed a similarly prolific spell of deal-making during her time at the helm of Nokia’s IP team – a period that saw the Finnish patentee forge agreements with Samsung, Apple, Huawei, OPPO, Vivo and Xiaomi. She recently stepped back from her role at InterDigital, where she had served as Chief Licensing Officer since 2020.
