Past president of Licensing Executives Society International and a partner with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Germany

A former research fellow of the Max-Planck Institute in Munich, Peter Chrocziel has interned as a visiting expert with the European Commission and is a professor at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg.

Chrocziel has been a partner of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer since 1991 and his practice covers all aspects of IP work, including patent, trademark, copyright and antitrust. He represents and counsels clients from industry and finance always with the view to helping to maximise their return from intellectual property, be it through licensing or through enforcement.

In 2006 he served as president of the Licensing Executives Society International.  Chrocziel is currently managing partner of Freshfields’ Munich office and heads the firm’s patent litigation group in Germany.
