IP Hall of Fame Academy members
The IP Hall of Fame Academy comprises previous, living inductees into the IP Hall of Fame, the panellists from the 2006 IP Hall of Fame induction process and individuals who have been put forward for membership as a consequence of their acknowledged expertise in international intellectual property issues. Moving forward, people will qualify for Academy membership only if they are inducted into the IP Hall of Fame or if their names are submitted for consideration by an existing member.
The role of Academy members is to select IP Hall of Fame inductees from the nominations made by the global IP community.

James Malackowski
President and CEO of Ocean Tomo IP merchant bancJames Malackowski is the president and CEO of Ocean Tomo LLC, an integrated Intellectual Capital Merchant Banc firm. Recognised by Managing Intellectual Property magazine in 2007 as one of the 50 most influential people in intellectual property, Malackowski was named as one of the top 50 IP professionals under the age of 45 in IP Law & Business the following year. He is also a member of the IAM 250 – A Guide to the World’s Leading IP Strategists.
Malackowski is secretary for the Licensing Executives Society International and past president of the Licensing Executives Society (USA and Canada). He is a frequent speaker on emerging technology markets and related financial measures. On more than 30 occasions Malackowski has served as an expert in the Federal courts or the International Trade Commission on questions relating to IP economics.
