IP Hall of Fame Academy members

The IP Hall of Fame Academy comprises previous, living inductees into the IP Hall of Fame, the panellists from the 2006 IP Hall of Fame induction process and individuals who have been put forward for membership as a consequence of their acknowledged expertise in international intellectual property issues. Moving forward, people will qualify for Academy membership only if they are inducted into the IP Hall of Fame or if their names are submitted for consideration by an existing member.

The role of Academy members is to select IP Hall of Fame inductees from the nominations made by the global IP community.

Bruce Berman is CEO of Brody Berman Associates, a management consulting and communications firm focusing on technology, services and intellectual property. He works closely with patent holders, investors and law firms to convey IP assets and capabilities, support licensing and other transactions and manage reputation.

Berman is responsible for four acclaimed books on intellectual property and business. His most recent, From Assets to Profits, looks at IP business models. He also conceived, edited and contributed to Making Innovation Pay, From Ideas to Assets and Hidden Value.

He is a member of the editorial advisory boards of Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) magazine, Patent Strategy & Management, IP Marketing Advisor and Law 360. His column, IP Investor, has appeared regularly in IAM since its inception. Mr Berman has lectured widely on intellectual property and business, and has written extensively about IP disclosure and related issues.
